Andrew Melvin

Senior Director and Designer, Founder

Andrew Melvin is the Senior Director and Designer for Shipton Design Ltd with over 40 years of experience within Architecture & Design. He has in-depth theoretical knowledge of design and construction combined with extensive implementation experience.
During his time in the profession he has been responsible for developing and monitoring a large number of contracts for residential and retail clients. Using a combination of his design skills and practical abilities he has successfully completed a wide range of projects in the United Kingdom, Europe and North America.  His breadth of experience covers a wide spectrum of design including retail and historic building restoration.  His main specialty lies within residential design, with a large number of house designs carried through from initial brief through all stages and finishing with the client taking possession.
Andrew has also previously been a visiting critic at Birmingham City University.

Harriet Melvin

CNO - Chief Napping Officer

Harriet joined the business in 2025, fitting in with the compny culture immediately, and making groundbreaking changes internally within the first few months of her employment. She also endeavoured to take on mor responsibility and has taken on many of the tasks that had previously been performed by the CTO.

Ruby Melvin

CBO - Chief Barking Officer

Like Carly, Ruby has been a staple of the business for nearly 10 years, allowing the Senior Director to understand better the needs and requirements of his staff. 

Since Ruby's start with the company, she has been indispensible to the Senior Director, following closely to better understand some of what is required to run the company.

Carly Melvin

CTO - Chief Treat Officer

Carly was a staple of the business for nearly 10 years, assiting the Senior Director with his day-to-day tasks, and providing a strong but firm approach to treat distribution amongst the staff.

Carly was also studying for her Dog-torate while maintaining her usual day-to-day tasks with the business.

We are sad to say that Carly has unfortunately moved on to bigger and brighter things, and will be missed dearly.
